Everything is going well, but then an unexpected incident brings a storm in their life.

The film depicts the emotional journey of the characters juggling between action, emotion and motherhood. There is a twist in the climax that makes the audience think. This film presents the mother-son relationship and the conflict of duty in an emotional way.

Movie Review

Arjun S/o Vijayashanti is a film that gives hope of an emotional mother-son relationship from its title, but the film completely fails to establish that emotional connection with the audience. When you name a film like this, there is an expectation of depth and seriousness, but here the story seems scattered and disorganized right from the beginning.

There are many scenes in the film that are not only illogical but also look extremely awkward. For example, in the middle of an important mission, the hero Arjun brings a cake for Vijayashanti. Now imagine, a serious police operation is going on and someone arrives there with a cake – this scene looks distracting and childish to the audience.

The background score and music of the film is also quite disappointing. At times it sounds like a truck or lorry horn is blowing – and to be honest, that horn sounds better than this.

A lot of plot points are touched upon in the film but they are not explored properly. The whole angle of the drugs racket is handled very superficially, as if it is just a company on paper and Srikanth is its “benami”.

Critic Saraswathi Ramanand feels that the story of the film is completely disappointing. The collusion between the police and criminals is shown but there is no positive character to be seen who helps the public. In the end only Vijayashanti emerges as an honest and powerful police officer, all the other male officers just keep getting beaten up – this too seems unbalanced and exaggerated.

Vijayashanthi, who believes in the country’s justice system and distances herself from her son because he kills criminals, ends up depending on the same son – this ultimately puts a question mark on the very essence of the film.

A scene in the film where Kalyan Ram cuts his handcuffs to free himself and then fights is an example of extremely unnatural and terrible direction.

Finally, the film of almost an hour could have been easily cut as it drags on and tests the patience of the audience.

Movie Public Review

Conclusion

Arjun S/o Vijayashanti tries to be an emotional and action-packed drama, but due to weak writing, illogical scenes and half-baked screenplay, the film fails to engage the audience. The hard work of Kalyan Ram and Vijayashanti is commendable, but the film lacks emotional depth and logic. Many scenes seem exaggerated and unnecessary. If you expect a well-crafted story and strong emotional connection, this film may disappoint. Only for those who like action, this film may be worth watching once.
