Sankranthiki Vasthunam Story

Sankranthi’s Vasthunam is a Telugu action-comedy film in which Venkatesh is seen in the role of a former DCP “YD Raju”. The story begins with the famous businessman Satya Akella, who comes to India on the invitation of Chief Minister Keshav. On the request of the party president, he goes to a farmhouse to have dinner, but there he is kidnapped by Bijju Pandey, a henchman of Billu Nayak. His aim is to free his brother Papa Pandey from jail.

Jailor George Antony refuses to release Papa Pandey without government approval and the Chief Minister tries to distance himself from the crisis. ACP Meenakshi, who is Raju’s old girlfriend, begins investigating the case and seeks Raju’s help. Raju is now married and has a wife, Bhagyam, and four children. Bhagyam, suspecting that Meenakshi and Raju’s relationship might resume, joins the mission.

Raju’s team takes Papa Pandey to the hospital after injuring him, but on the way he dies due to Bhagyam’s mistake. Now Raju deceives Billu Nayak by showing Papa Pandey’s dead body as a puppet. Along with comedy and action in the film, the banter between Meenakshi and Bhagyam also entertains.

Finally, when Billu finds out the truth, a shootout ensues, and Raju kills all the henchmen. He frees Satya Akella but uses him to get his teacher’s honour restored from the Chief Minister. In the end, Meenakshi gets transferred to Raju’s village and moves in with him, creating a new twist for the sequel.
