Single Story

The story of the film #Single is based on a simple but entertaining love triangle with a lot of humor. Vijay (Sri Vishnu) is a normal young man working in a bank, known for his simplicity and innocence. His life takes a new turn when he sees Poorva Nettem (Ketika Sharma) and falls in love with her at first sight. Vijay tries to tell her his feelings and win her heart.

But the twist in the story comes when Harini (Ivana), who is already in love with Vijay, starts following him. Harini’s mischievous and flirtatious antics add a new shade of humor to the film. While Vijay tries to get Poorva’s attention, Harini keeps pursuing Vijay. Meanwhile, Vijay gets to know about Harini’s reality and Poorva also starts understanding Vijay’s intentions.

The highlight of the film is the comic timing of Sri Vishnu and Vennela Kishore, which makes the audience laugh a lot. Vijay’s confrontational and funny conversations with Poorva and Harini keep the audience engaged. Though there is nothing new in the story and the script seems a bit weak, the acting and comic scenes make the film an entertaining experience.

Single is a good film for those viewers who want to enjoy light comedy and romance away from seriousness. The simple plot of the film, funny dialogues and innocence of the characters make it worth watching once.

Movie Review

After watching the film #Single, some viewers have been very clear and harsh in their opinions. One reviewer compared the film to Sri Vishnu’s previous works, especially the superhit film Samajavaragamana, and said that the film is not his style at all. He said that Sri Vishnu’s comic timing and acting in this film cannot be put on that level as it is completely based on boring and old fashioned comedy. He believed that the story has no freshness and the plot does not make any sense at all. However, he also added that he loves cinema and will always support the Telugu film industry. But he also sarcastically said that when the film itself does not have any strong content, then even imitation of any big actor is useless.

On the other hand, another reviewer ‘Akla’ shared his experience in a very clear and negative way. He said that he did not like the film at all, especially the first half was very difficult to bear. According to them, the hero of the film looked extremely childish and unbearable, which spoiled their mood. They said that not only was his behavior strange but his acting also seemed very weak and ineffective. They felt as if the character was behaving like a small child, which becomes annoying after a while.

Apart from this, the reviewer also took a dig at the story of the film. They said that the way the hero follows and stalks the heroine in the first half of the film is clearly unacceptable and wrong. But in the second half of the film, suddenly an attempt was made to show the same hero as a good person when he helps the heroine. The reviewer said that this behavioral change neither seemed natural nor justified. It is like taking the intelligence of the audience for granted.

Overall, it is clear from these reviews that the film #Single was a disappointing experience for many viewers. Due to the weak story, ineffective acting and unsupportable characters, this film did not get the expected success, at least in the eyes of these critics. Though the love and support of the audience towards the film industry is commendable, they also expect the quality and freshness in the films to be maintained.

Conclusion

The film #Single is entertaining in its attempt to be a light comedy, but it does not live up to the expectations of the audience due to a weak story, clichéd comedy and half-baked characters. The pair of Sri Vishnu and Vennela Kishore definitely make some of the comic scenes funny, but the lack of emotional depth and solid screenplay is clearly felt in the film. If you want to watch the film just for comedy, then it can be watched once, but for those looking for quality and new thinking, this film does not offer anything special.
